The New Managers Guide to Managing People & Business

Hello hello -

I’ve been stewing on this one for a while — it’s painfully obvious that most managers have no idea what they are doing. They don’t know how to manage people, they aren’t sure how to communicate a business’ needs to individual contributors, nor do they know how to implement changes the people want to see.

There is a lot to unpack here. Before doing so over the next few weeks, though, I want to put out a request. If you have a moment, please share quick stories on;

  1. Who was the worst manager you ever had? What was so bad? (leave the personal details out, the high level is all that is needed)
  2. Who is the best manager you ever had? What was so good?
  3. What, in your experience, is the skill set most managers are missing?

Please send anything and everything to quinn@opscombinator.com

Stay Dangerous,

Quinn
